Have you ever been to Oregon or Washington, and seen the beautiful waterfalls? When I took a trip to Oregon one summer, I absolutely loved it! We went all over Oregon, from Hood River, the waterfalls, and several RV parks! During my adventures, I saw many great places, some of which I shall tell you about!
First, my family all piled into our recreational vehicle, [RV,] and drove all the way from Los Angeles to the city of Portland, Oregon. It took us about three days, and we stopped at nearly every state park to either spend the night, or just to explore. Once we actually made it to our destination, we visited the Columbia River Gorge, where my mom and dad windsurfed. Side note, I did windsurf, but I was stuck in a large lake because my mom thought it was “too dangerous.” After giving it much debate, we all finally agreed to go see as many waterfalls as we could. Taking our rental car over to Oregon, we traveled up and down most of the roads, scouring the land for waterfalls. We ended up only seeing eight, but it was time well spent.
Second, we went across the Bridge of the Gods, traveling into Washington. For the time spent there, we stayed at an epic RV park called Timberlake RV Park. At this RV park, our spot was completely covered by trees, bushes, the ground being a bunch of gravel. Every night, we would light the campfire to roast marshmallows and make s'mores. There was also an area where you could play with horseshoes.
Finally, the day had come to go back home. We packed up all of our things, and headed out to Patrick’s Point. We made it there within one day, which was a whole day of driving, and spent three nights there. After yet another debate, we decided to go to the Sacramento River, where we spent another two days, and then drove back to Los Angeles. I hope you enjoyed my story of my family’s adventures, and I hope you can tell me of an awesome road trip of your own! Thanks for reading, and have fun blogging!
The results are in, and it looks like the result of the subject 'elective' has won! The electives here at A.E. Wright Middle are art, computer graphics or advanced computers, spanish, and finally zero period P.E. In the article 'Who invented the concept of "electives" in modern universities and how?' the origin of the concept of the 'elective' came from the president at Harvard University, Charles William Elliot, who gave a famous speech Liberty in Education at his opening speech at the university.
Even though this is about electives, I just wanted to state some facts about being in a middle school in France! First, the school days on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday start at 8:30 am and end at 5pm. On Wednesday it starts at the same time, but ends at 12:35pm. The classes are French, math, history, geography, Earth sciences, English, Latin, arts, music, physical sciences, and gym. In France, you aren't allowed to bring your own lunch to school. Finally, there's between 25 and 31 kids in each class. Thanks for reading, and have fun blogging!

I love this post because it is very relatable. I also like that we both have some things in common. I love drawing! The kinds of things I love to draw are cats and dragons. Anyway, if you would like to know a little more about me, here's a link to by blog! http://sophimcgly6504.blogspot.com/
I had a lot of fun on Halloween too. I was one of those blow-up T-Rex's, and a lot of six-year-olds wanted to take their picture with me! My favorite candy is reese's candy. If you want to know more about me, here's a link to my blog: http://sophimcgly6504.blogspot.com/ Have fun blogging!
I don't watch a lot of TV, but I do have one show that's my favorite. I absolutely love Gravity Falls. My personal favorite characters are Dipper and Stanford Pines. I've watched all the episodes, the shorts, and the episode "Between the Pines" which was awesome. I think my favorite episode is "Sock Opera" in which my favorite scene is when Dipper said,
"Who would sacrifice everything you care about just for their dumb sibling?" and Mabel said,
"Dipper would." I thought that just meant the world to me, since Dipper has sacrificed so many things for Mabel. I'v started to devote a lot of my time trying to find all the secrets, and put it in a little journal of my own. Don't know what I'm going to call it yet, though.
In the comments below, write about your favorite TV show!
I am a 12 year old girl who loves cats, dragons, and drawing. I mostly draw during my free time, and I mostly draw dragons. I have had three pet cat's, all of which were black. The first one was named Mouse, since she always killed mice and put them on our doorstep. The second one was named Scratch, as she would claw our door to come in. The last one was named Mittens, because her fur made little white socks on her feet. During the summer, my family and I go to Hood River, OR, and I used to take windsurfing lessons, but now we usually just rent gear, and I go with my parents. When I was in fifth grade, I was in a robotics club, and we were nominated to go to a competition. I was in charge of driving our robot, since I am good with video game controllers. My friend Jacqueline was in charge of building the robot itself. Jacqueline's sister, Nicole, was in charge of the programming of the robot, updating our notebook, and drawing pictures of the robot when we were don on that day. When we were finished with the competition, we won fifth place!
